Remote Drone Application:

Robertson Cheatham Farmers Co-op has expanded its fleet by adding in an Aerial application division. The current drone model we have is a DJI Agris T40. This model has a liquid occupancy of 10.5 gallons and dry occupancy 150 lbs. Our FAA licensed remote pilot is Wes Jones. Wes offers over 14 years in experience in applications. The perks of having this service available to you includes, allowing us to make applications when conditions are not favorable for a convention ground driven sprayer. Certain times of the year crops become susceptible to damage from conventional sprayers when driving through, this could break the leaves, stems or fruit. We are able to accommodate all growers regardless of the size of their operation. While the large sprayer is only for row crops, the drone offers the ability to serve any crop due to the overhead application. This includes pumpkins, fruit trees, watermelons, and tobacco. Brian Albright serves as our location manager at the Sadlersville location. He offers 25 years of Co-op experience. He helps with fertilizer and seed sales as well.
